Waiting List Tasmania

If you are being affected, or have been affected, by a long wait for surgery in the Tasmanian Health System consider joining the Waiting List Tasmania facebook group.  It’s a place to share your story and raise your voice.

Delayed surgery is a situation felt by many.  It affects not only the person who needs surgery but their friends and family.

Let’s talk to each other and encourage one another.  Maybe we’ll get noticed.

      Hi Sue,
Thanks for leaving your story. Many more are sharing in the facebook group if you are able to share there as well.
I’ve heard from a number of people who are waiting for hip replacements. Hips should not be an issue of chronic pain management!
I have hard that the “rescue money” (as it is called) has started – it is part of the reason why my wife has just been able to have her long-awaited surgery. Keep hanging in there, keep agitating, you count even if the powers that be can’t add up.
      Will.
